Married his cousin, Maria Bués Catasús. 8th June 1857 in Sitges.

• Great grandmother, Dolores Catasús Bués, was their 5th child.

Aka El Hereu; he had many documents about the Riera genealogy reaching back to the seventeenth century.  A bomb during the Spanish Civil War fell on Calle Mayor in Sitges and destroyed them.
